Welcome to the Ottawa Chapter of the Canadian Celiac Association. We're here to support residents of Eastern and Northern Ontario in adapting to a gluten-free lifestyle, and we also support research, education, lobbying and events for the Canadian Celiac Association. We span from Ottawa, to Peterborough, to North Bay, to Sudbury, to the eastern border with Québec.
Membership in the chapter provides access to informative medical speakers, research toward treatment for celiac disease and gluten sensitivity, work with restaurants to provide safe, gluten-free dining options, informational newsletters, discounts at area businesses, and so much more. We would greatly appreciate your membership or donations!

Celiac disease is a medical condition in which the absorptive surface of the small intestine is damaged by a number of proteins found in grains, and referred to collectively as 'gluten'. This results in an inability of the body to absorb nutrients: protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, which are necessary for good health. Read more....
Our Liaison Chair is the first point of contact with the Chapter for those needing help to navigate celiac disease, the gluten-free diet, or if they are seeking more about information about the Canadian Celiac Association. We provide information via telephone or mailed pamphlets, or in the case of organizations such as restaurants, retirement homes, and interest groups in general, by delivering appropriate lectures and presentations. We may be reached at email@example.com.
