Entry is free but advanced tickets are recommended. Members get early access between 12-1pm (with advance ticket reservation). Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable gluten free food donation for the Ottawa Food Bank. Ottawa Celiac Awareness Month Photo Op Monday, May 15 at 7:45pm Please join us in the Byward Market, at the Ottawa sign, as it is lit up green, the international colour of celiac awareness! We are inviting roughly 20 gluten-free vendors to showcase their products. This is a chance for businesses to re-connect with GF consumers, and it's your chance to score some free samples and great deals! Carmen Rupp-Eke, Director at Large with our Board of Directors, will be joined by her daughter Anais for a gluten-free baking demonstration. On the menu are GF Oreo Truffles! Pick up the ingredients in advance and join in on the fun. It will be broadcast via Facebook Live, at 11 AM, and you can access it here: https://www.facebook.com/events/249471707338766 Sunday, June 13 at 7 PM ET: Guest Speaker and Group Discussion about GLUTEN-FREE GROCERY SHOPPING Tatiana Hunt, Loblaws Dietitian, will be joining us for a ZOOM talk about how to navigate those aisles, the quality of food choices in the grocery store, and things to be mindful of. Chapter president Mark Johnson will also speak about the Gluten-Free Certification Program and how it can help you in the grocery aisle. We’ll also invite you to share any tips and tricks you have!
